Wash Fox Donating Funds to Children’s Tumor Foundation

May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month and Wash Fox is donating proceeds all weekend, May 20-21, 2023

THORNTON, Colo., May 17, 2023 — Wash Fox locations in Commerce City and Thornton will donate proceeds from this weekend’s car washes, up to $2,000, to the Children’s Tumor Foundation to fund neurofibromatosis research. Car wash locations are open from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Each Wash Fox car wash serves its community in multiple ways from contributing to local, national, and global causes to its environmentally sustainable construction and operation, which includes state-of-the-art water reclamation systems and solar energy panels. Customers may purchase club memberships for unlimited washes or purchase one-time washes for a stream-lined, no-contact experience.

“We hope our members and neighbors will join us this weekend, Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, to make a difference for neurofibromatosis research,” says John Honney, Wash Fox owner. “All of us at Wash Fox look forward to donating and bringing awareness to a disorder that currently has no cure.”

Neurofibromatosis, or NF, is a group of genetic disorders that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF affects one in 3,000 people of all populations. There is currently no cure, but the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the world’s leading organization dedicated to NF, is driving research, expanding knowledge, and advancing care for the NF community.
