Brothers Redevelopment/City of Commerce City encourage homeowners to apply for Home Modification and Repair and Paint-A-Thon programs
COMMERCE CITY, Co., July 24, 2023 – Brothers Redevelopment is encouraging income-qualified, older adults in Commerce City to apply for its Home Modification and Repair and Paint-A-Thon programs.
In partnership with the City of Commerce City, Brothers Redevelopment offers minor home repairs and exterior painting for older adults and disabled homeowners at no cost. Minor repairs offered by Brothers Redevelopment focus on home safety, accessibility and barrier removal, deferred maintenance, and home rehabilitation. Meanwhile, the Paint-A-Thon Program utilizes volunteer groups to paint the exterior of around 100 homes each year.
Each of these services are funded through the City of Commerce City’s Community Development Block Grant program. Commerce City homeowners can receive up to $12,000 for impactful home rehabilitation services.
Services offered by Brothers Redevelopment’s Home Modification and Repair Program include the following:
– Minor electrical repairs, plumbing, sewer, trip and fall hazard.
– Wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, grab bars, and stair and porch railings.
– Furnace, water heater and boiler system repairs and replacements.
– Roof gutter, soffit, fascia, siding, and window repair and replacement.
